Miriam Clancy - Magnetic Album Release + Tour

Already heralded as an “exceptional album” and "one of the handful of essential local albums of the year" by top music critics, Miriam Clancy’s sophomore album, ‘Magnetic’ was released this week. Miriam is playing album release shows around the country with her band over the coming month.

SOUTHERN AMP 09 ­ ROCK & ROOTS OVERRULE THE RECESSIONŠ!

Christchurch will once again stage the South Island's biggest multi-stage festival when Southern Amp 09 kicks into life on Thursday 12th November from 4.30pm til midnight at Westpac Arena in Addington. Amp-fans will not have to freak out about work or Uni the next day either with Friday 13th November being a holiday and the start of the Canterbury long weekend! This year¹s Southern Amp will feature 2 massive main stages standing side-by-side along one side of the Arena pumping out continuous live vibes. Main Stages AMP-A and AMP-B will give a much wider view, a much more 'closer to the action'.....

Mingo Lewis, renowned percussionist, drummer and producer is set to play 2 nights at Al’s Bar on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd October with outstanding flutist Deborah Yates and their band The Vortex Tribe

Rubix Cuba are heading South for the winter

Australian ska/latin/rock act are heading South for the winter. This enigmatic 7 piece featuring trumpet, trombone and saxophone pump their own strange brand of tunes the mix latin, punk, swing, ska and rock. The result of such a recipe might be defined as musical chaos. What crowds hear are dance-able songs with strong melodies and an upbeat feel.

KNIVES AT NOON – At it Again!

Four-piece Dunedin band, Knives At Noon are back on the road again, after their successful New Zealand Tour with Charlie Ash. This time they are supporting top NZ band, The Checks, and Christchurch upstarts Bang! Bang! Eche! on the ‘Get Off the Stage NZ Tour’.
